Hey guys this is our final SEMA Coverage post if you missed Part 1 and Part 2 go check those out. In this final section we will be covering Ryan from Rywires JDM Integra Type R Build, and the Honda and Acura Booth.
CSF Radiators had the Integra Type R and the Porsche GT3 RS which is the car that inspired the Integra Build.
The Integra has a built K24 Swap with a Honda HPD dry sump oil system, Precision 6265 twin scroll turbocharger, Golden Eagle Intake Manifold just to name a few.
I got to talk to Ryan about his Motec engine management system, Motec Digital Dash, and Motec CAN keypad which is used to turn on the ignition, fuel pump, and start the car. He did’t go with the typical 6 speed RSX trans for this build he is using a Quaife Sequential transmission with air actuated solenoids to shift up or shift down all controlled by Shiftec paddle shifters on the OMP Steering wheel. He also told me the Motec EMS can blip the throttle using the Toyota DBW thottle body on down shifts.
I really like the aluminum interior panels they made to clean up the gutted interior. You can see the Nuke Fuel system with surge tank and Bosch 044 fuel pumps to feed the estimated 500hp K-Series.
Here is a video Rywire released for the car. Rywire GT3Integra build – The road to SEMA 2015.
Down at the Honda and Acura booth they had a few of their new cars dressed up in SEMA fashion, Ludicris’ Acura Legend, and the new Acura NSX unfortunately no sign of the Civic Type R.
David Letterman’s Steak and Shake Indy Car was in the Honda booth.
This was the Tjin Edition Honda HR-V.
The Honda Pioneer 1000 off road vehcile was on a trailer beside a cut away of their engine and trans-axle.
Another Honda HR-V towing a Honda Grom on a custom trailer with matching rims.
This is Ludacris’ Acura Legend that was recently restored by Acura and is featured beside a private jet on his new studio album. Keeping his Legend that he drove before he was famous makes you appreciate how down to earth and how big of a car guy Ludacris really is.
Of course the all new Acura NSX was on display and im curious to drive this to see how it compares to the handling of the previous version.
This is the Honda Performance Development Baja Ridgline with a 3.5L Twin Turbo V6, I can’t wait to see this thing in action.
Stopped by Rays booth to drool over the rims. The quality of the engraving work is absolutely insane.
This was the Rocket Bunny kit on a Datsun 510 its great seeing classic Japanese cars being restored and new development of parts.
This clean turbo EK was in the Hondata booth.
Spotted a wrapped NSX one night on the street and quickly got this picture before it sped off.
This was downtown on Freemont street where there is live music, bars, restaurants, and even people zip-lining above the massive crowds.
You can’t visit Las Vegas without seeing Elvis.
The fountain at the Belagio.
Thanks for the memories once again SEMA I met a lot of great people, saw some iconic cars, ate too much, drank too much, and slept too little, but thats what happens in Vegas.
