On Victoria Day holiday Monday TOPP Drift came to Shannonville Motorsport Park to make some noise and fill the air with the smell of burnt rubber. For those who don’t know TOPP Drift is a grassroots drift series with 9 events for the 2015 season. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get involved in the growing drift scene here in Ontario.
Dan’s new office is a whole lot safer this year thanks to the awesome work of Pat Cyr. With a full custom cage, and solid steering column done by Cyrious Garageworks this S13 is now stronger and lighter.
Dan’s fresh new paint job this year really stands out on the track.
By far the widest turn on the track makes for some adrenaline filled high speed entries.
After a few laps of steering with the gas pedal the tires decided this session was over.
The MB Battles had enough traction to bring the S13 back to the pits for a tire change but the sound of rims on pavement always makes me cringe.
The look of a man who built this machine for noise and sideways destruction. Drift, Fix, Repeat was the plan for today and Dan brought enough rims and tires to get a lot of practice in.
This tire “pelt” Found it’s way around the brake rotor inside the rim, while the driver side tread is MIA on the battlefield of the Shannonville racetrack.
And this is why we can’t have nice things, from what Dan has told me the tire marks buffed right out so the car is still a clean Project Mu blue… for now!
